Live music and a spectacular nightime parachute drop promise Indendence Day fun at Fountain Park on July 4th
Looking for a fun, patriotic celebration of our Nation’s Birthday this year? Check out Fountain Hills and Fourth at the Fountain to be held 5-10 pm at Fountain Park in Lakeside Village. The local celebration will include live music by two different bands, a night time parachute drop and fun activities for kids and all members of the family. Food, drink and merchandise vendors will also be on hand.
Music kicks off with local favorites The Aging Hipsters, followed by The Arizona Blues Project. The “AzBP” is the Brain-Child of Mr. Paul Reed, a consummate guitarist in his own right, who wanted to perform music on a new level. Blues allows Reed and his various guest musicians the artistic freedom to respond to the spontaneous tastes of their audiences. The result is a fun mix of blues, classic rock and R&B tunes.
Around 8:30 pm, the Arizona Skyhawks Parachute team will perform a spectacular nighttime parachute drop into Fountain Park. The skydiving entertainment will last approximately 20 minutes and will feature music and flares. To learn more about the Arizona Skyhawks, visit www.arizonaskyhawks.com
Throughout the evening, a bounce house, fun slide, dunk tank and petting zoo will be available for the kids. Challenge your friends to an old-fashioned hot dog eating contest sponsored by Phils Filling Station. Food, beverage and merchandise vendors will be available, and the local VFW Post #7507 will provide beer and wine.
Fourth at the Fountain is hosted by Elkie-Kniffiin Productions, a local production company created by attorney and Town Councilman Tait Elke. Sonoran Lifestyle Real Estate is a sponsor for the event, hosting a hospitality tent on the grounds. Stop by their tent for some fun and a Flag Pin to show your pride. Additional sponsors include Elkie Law Office, PC, HealthSource Chiropractic, Fountain Hills Republican Club, Jerry & Jackie Miles, Euro Pizza Café, Broker’s Alliance, WiredUp Installation, MCO Realty, FH Times, Frazier Shows, Echelon Company, MidFirst Bank, Town of Fountain Hills, Spike’s Treats and Fountain Hills Family Practice, P.C.
