Fountain Hills’ Stroll in the Glow Kicks Off Holiday Season

Fountain Hills Holiday Lights, Stroll in the GlowSaturday, December 1 is the official kick-off of the Fountain Hills holiday season.  A variety of activities provide fun for all ages…just one of the JOYS of living in a small, event oriented community!

STROLL IN THE GLOWSaturday, December 1, 5:30 pm • Avenue of the Fountains

Enjoy street music, a live nativity scene and a ceremony for the official lighting of the Avenue of the Fountains, where 60,000 lights provide a wonderful holiday glow, various holiday scenes and a fun place to enjoy winter evenings.   Local businesses stay open late, offering lots of warmth and good cheer.

Santa and his elf arrive on the Avenue, so have your list ready!        Admission is free

“ELVES VILLAGE” BY SONORAN LIFESTYLE  At Stroll in the Glow, Saturday, Dec 1  5:30-8 pm

Bring the kids by Elves Village at Sonoran Lifestyle Real Estate during Stroll in the Glow for an ornament craft and cookie.  There’s also a North Pole Mail Box for Letters to Santa.  Adults will enjoy the “Adult Time-Out” inside with beverages and good cheer.  We’ll have letters to sign for the troops, too!

 

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA – Saturday December 1, 9am, Fountain Hills Community Center.

This is a popular annual event sponsored by the Fountain Hills Noon Kiwanis.  Kiddies get to dine with Santa and have a photo opportunity.  Cost is $7…check to make sure tickets are available…they are not sold at the door!  Santa Breakfast

The Memorial Pointsettia Tree is a popular holiday sight on the Avenue of the Fountains

FOUNTAIN HILLS POINTSETTIA TREE – This year’s Poinsettia Tree will be placed on the Avenue of the Fountains on Nov. 29.   The Tree is a fundraiser for the Fountain Hills Cultural and Civic Association and offers pointsettias at a cost of $20 to have a pointsettia placed in honor of a friend or loved one.

GINGERBREAD JUNCTION:   Tree Decorating & Kids Crafts, Community Center

Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 8 when Gingerbread Junction, comes to the Fountain  Hills Community Center from 10 am to 2 pm.  Participate in tree decorating, ornament crafts, a sing-a-long, visit from Santa and musical performances.  Visit the Train Display, too!

ART IN THE PARK:   Saturday, December 1, 9am – 4pm, Plaza Fountainside, 12645 N. Saguaro Blvd.

A delightful way to spend a Saturday morning…check out Art in the Park where local artists display loveley gift-giving ideas…or just a little something for yourself!  Stop in at Euro Cafe for a view-tastic break, lunch or dinner.  Located at the Plaza Fountainside overlooking the Fountain. RIVER OF TIME MUSEUM HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE;  Saturday and Sunday, December 1 – 2;  Community Center
