Pearl Harbor to be remembered by the town’s Veterans Service Organizations on Saturday December 7th
The Commander,VFW Post 7507 invites all residents and their guests to a ceremony commemorating and honoring the dead and the survivors of the surprise Japanese attack on the US on December 7,1941.
The ceremony will take place at the Fountain Hills Veterans Memorial at 9:00 a.m. VFW Post 7507’s Color Guard will parade the Colors. The Fountain Hills Saxophone Quartet will play the National Anthem and provide music before and after the ceremony.
Major General Al Crawford, US Army, retired will be the keynote speaker.
Veterans are encouraged to wear their medals and/or ribbons whether on civilian clothes or full or partial uniforms. The wearing of shirts with the slogan “Home of the Free Because of the Brave” or other patriotic apparel is appropriate and encouraged. VFW, American Legion and AmVet members are encouraged to wear organizational caps/hats and/or shirts.
