1 Million Thermostats Recalled Due To Fire Risk!!

Thermostat-recall-jpg1 Million Thermostats have been recalled due to a risk of starting fires. These thermostats are made by White-Rodgers, but some have different brand names printed on the front, including ComfortSentry, DICO, Emerson, Frigidaire, Maytag, Nutone, Partners Choice, Rheem, Ruud, Unico, Water Furnace, Westinghouse and Zonefirst.

These units were sold for between $30 and $70 from January 2006 until December 2013. 740,000 were sold in the US and 403,000 in Canada.

Recalled thermostats don’t have a battery icon on the left side of its blue lighted screen, the CPSC said. Customers should call White-Rodgers at 888-624-1901 or register at www.regcen.com/1f8recall/ .

White-Rodgers, based in St. Louis, Mo., is a division of Emerson Electric Co. The thermostats were made in China.
