Spaghetti, Good Friends and a Great Cause! Saturday, August 16th, Fountain Hills Community Center
Amethyst is not the only gem to be found in the Fountain Hills area. The River of Time Museum is one of the hidden nuggets that make our lives just a little bit more special. Showcasing life in the Lower Verde River area, the River of Time Museum demonstrates how this rare blessing—reliable water source in the desert—has sustained a vibrant way of life for 1000’s of years.
The annual Spaghetti Dinner and Fundraising Auction is a casual summer tradition that contributes the majority of the Museum’s operating budget. The tasty dinner is donated by local restaurant, Phil’s Place, so 100% of the $15.00 ticket price goes to the support of the Museum.
But wait…there’s more! Dozens of silent auction items donated by community businesses and individuals include jewelry, gallery-quality art work, restaurant and retail store coupons, and a wide variety of decorative and gift items. Live auction items include a weekend at Poco Diablo resort on Oak Creek in Sedona, Private Wine tasting Event for 6, Desert Jeep excursions, Concert Tickets, and a tour of Saguaro Lake with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s patrol, and many more “one of a kind” experiences.
Live entertainment will keep the night “hoppin,” and our legendary auctioneer, Rep. John Kavanaugh will entertain as he pries the last dollar out of wallets for the good of the cause.
New to the area? No problem! This casual event defines the feeling of “community” in Fountain Hills, and everyone is invited. Affordable—$15 for one ticket, $25 for two…and kids are welcome at $5.00.
