The Fountain Hills Sister Cities’ Board of Directors is hosting a western evening barbeque and party on Saturday, October 18, 2014, to be held at Gunsight Pass, a private venue located in Goldfield Ranch, 15 minutes northeast of Fountain Hills.
Gunsight Pass is Goldfield Ranch homeowner David Smith’s attempt to recreate a portion of the old town of Tombstone on ten acres of his property. It includes a dance hall, saloon, hotel, sheriff’s office, church, water tower and other structures.
This is a private non-commercial site, available only to guests of David Smith or his friends. Smith reports that several movies have used Gunsight Pass as a location, and more are planned.
The cost of this event is $50 per person. It will feature a western style dinner and a live three piece band. Smith has asked that attendance at the party be limited to 100 individuals. The party will commence at 6:00 p.m. Causal western attire is recommended.
For reservations or more information those interested in attending should contact Sister Cities’ secretary Jean Linzer at 480-837-0762 or email her at jlinzer@aol.com.
All net proceeds from this event will benefit the Fountain Sister Cities Corporation, a 501(c)(3) corporation.
