Fountain Hills Integrated Trails (FIT) Attract Townies and Visitors Alike
The Town of Fountain Hills began developing a system of interconnected fitness trails in 2013, and our newly-renovated central corridor is the jewel in the center of the Civic Center Trail. This inaugural trail of the FIT (Fountain Hills Integrated Trail) system is 3.2 miles long, and features spectacular views of the Fountain, and the McDowell, WeKoPa and Superstition Mountains.
The Civic Center Trail begins and ends in Fountain Park, but the lake-view section of the trail also provides a great tour of the renovated Avenue of the Fountains Central Plaza. Engineered to be more pedestrian-friendly, the Avenue of the Fountains is a wonderful walk for anyone wanting to enjoy our classic views with added shade, seating, drinking fountains beside sidewalk cafés, if you want to stop for a bite!
