November 7:  Get Your Art On

Fountain Hills has one of the largest and most dramatic public art collections in the southwest…more than 150 pieces, concentrated largely in Fountain Park and the Community Center/Library/Museum complex (Centennial Circle).  The pieces in the Centennial Center area have QR codes so you can do a self-tour via smart phone.  Docent-led walks are scheduled weekly during the winter months, and group tours are available by appointment.  Early Morning Art Walk Docent Tour – 9-10:30, Centennial Circle in front of Library/Museum.  Mid-Day Art Walk, Fountain Park – 11-12:30.  https://apm.activecommunities.com/townfh/Activity

 

 

November 7:  Free Birds… Movie in the Park

Twice each year, Fountain Hills Community Services hosts a Movie in the Park for the families of Fountain Hills. Past movies have included Racing Stripes, Shrek the Third, Over the Hedge, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, and Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.  Fountain Park,  Time: 7 p.m.

November 21:  Paper Shred-a-thon at the Fountain Hills Public Library
 

Residents of Fountain Hills, Rio Verde, Tonto Verde and Fort McDowell are invited to shred up to four file boxes of paper per person in this free paper shredding event funded by the Fountain Hills Friends of the Library. The shredding truck will be in the library’s parking lot at the corner of El Lago Blvd. and La Montana Dr. from 9 a.m. until noon or until the truck is full. All participants must remain with their documents until they are placed in the shredding containers.  Located at Library parking lot- 12901 N. 2010 Parade-7931st annual Chamber of Commerce Thanksgiving Day Parade

November 1-30, Fountain Hills Activity Center  Classes

Continued monthly and located in the Community Center provides dozens of classes and recreational activities throughout the year.  Group sessions include many levels of fitness and exercise, games, bingo, trips, sports excursions and discussion and hobby groups.
