December twilight comes early, framing spectacular sunsets, and our festive display of Holiday lights. Downtown twinkles with cheer, a perfect backdrop for musical events, the awesome 15 foot tall live poinsettia tree, and one of our most treasured community gatherings, the annual “Stroll in the Glow” on the first Saturday in December.
December 1-15: “Elf on the Shelf” at the Fountain Hills Library

The 30+ Artisans at Art on the Avenue create a wide range of one of a kind hostess gifts and special seasonal offerings for those special ones on your Christmas list. Satisfy the foodie in you at the weekly Farmer’s Market. Park behind Sonoran Lifestyle offices, and we’ll stow your special “finds” as you shop and dine on the Avenue. Friday, December 4 is the deadline for registration for the Fountain Hills Art League Juried Art Show. Open to all residents of Fountain Hills, the Verdes, and Goldfield Ranch.
Pre-registration is required for the annual January Show. Please consult FHCCA website for entry guidelines and the registration form. The Entry Form is found on line at www.fhcca.org, (keep the Contestant Form for your records). Return the Entry Form and your $25 fee by Friday, December 4, 2015. Checks are payable to FHCCA. December 4,5,6: Christmas Market at Fountain Hills Artists Gallery
The Fountain Hills Artists’ Gallery Christmas Market will take place on December 4, 5 & 6 with extended hours of operation for Friday and Saturday evenings. Hot chocolate, hot cider and Christmas cookies will be served. A “Holiday Bargain Table” will showcase items marked down at least 40% and many artists will be offering 10% discounts on all gallery items for these three days only.

December 5: Stroll in the Glow
On the first Saturday of December a town treasured event comes to life, called “Stroll in the Glow.” After dark, a brief ceremony ends with the master switch being thrown, bathing the Avenue in a multicolored glow of holiday cheer! December 5: Grand Re-Opening of the River of Time Museum
Reserve Saturday afternoon for the Grand Re-Opening of the River of Time Museum Exhibition Space.
The River of Time Museum launches new interactive exhibits highlighting the development of our region as water from our rivers brought the desert to life. Family fun and special membership rate of $25 per family to celebrate the new interactive educational exhibits.
