Youth invited Join Garden Club at the Library
The library now has a plot in the community garden, and we want the young people in Fountain Hills to help tend it! Join the library staff for a presentation on gardening by master gardener Evelyn Brumfield, and stick around afterward to help decide what to grow. Then come back on January 13th to help break ground and launch this fun new project!

Lichen Seminar Featuring Pat Webber of the Desert Botanic Garden Club
The Desert Botanic Garden Club is hosting a seminar on Lichens at the Community Center. The seminar will be hosted in the Navajo Room from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The Desert Botanic Garden Club is limiting it to twenty-five spaces. There are 3 spaces left for the lecture; if you are interested in participating please call Carol Ayres at 480-837-8290.

Garden Ground-breaking for Youth Gardening Club
Join us as we officially break ground on the library’s community garden plot. Help us plant our first crop, and if you’d like to continue tending our plot throughout the semester, sign up to be a part of our new gardening club! Attendee must be between the ages of 8 Years and 18 Years old.

“Project Linus” Monthly Meeting; Teens and Adults
“Project Linus” is a National Non-profit organization dedicated to providing love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.”
The Fountain Hills Chapter of Project Linus volunteers find this activity to be rewarding and fun service opportunity to help infants and children in need. Interested in making blankets but new to knitting or crocheting? No problem! Drop in from 3 to 4, and we’ll teach you how! More experienced? Come by from 4 to 5 for our advanced hour, or feel free to come for the entire meetup and help teach others. Supplies will be provided, just bring your creativity!
