ARIZONA WILDLIFE AND PLANTS (UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL: 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Larry Zuiker, hiker and photographer, has been taking pictures of Arizona’s wildlife and plants for over 40 years. He has been able to get very close to them using his 100-digital power zoom and macro lens. He has encountered these animals and plants on the many trails he has hiked, near his home and in some of the most unusual places around the state. Experience how he came face to face with a Bighorn Ram in Aravaipa Wilderness, why a mother Great Horned Owl decided to discard 1 of 3 eggs, where to find wild horses in Arizona, close-up views of Arizona’s incredible diversity of plants and the animals which love them, scorpions which can be handheld, close encounters with rattlesnakes and other venomous creatures, and deer in the city.
