Fountain Hills’ “Stroll In the Glow” December 3rd

The Stroll in the Glow Festival brings the magic of the holidays to the streets of Fountain Hills. Every year, the town spends the fall putting up thousands of lights – more than 65,000 to be more exact – on the Avenue of the Fountains. On the first Saturday of December, the lights are turned on for the town’s “Stroll in the Glow” event, where the street come alive with the multicolored cheer of the holiday season. Guests can also enjoy live music on the streets, holiday-themed snacks, and even a live nativity scene. At 6:00 pm, Santa will arrive in his personal fire truck,

Join us at the Sonoran Elves Village at the Stroll in Glow, as we get into the holiday spirit, and enjoy the fun by doing festive family crafts. Bring your letters to drop in to Santa’s special mailbox, and for all you adults take time to pop upstairs for to enjoy beverages upstairs with the best view in the valley of the Stroll in the Glow lights.

The fun is 5-8 pm in the Sonoran Lifestyle Courtyard, Saturday December 3rd.   It’s fun for all ages!

December 4:  Juried Art Registration (deadline!)

Friday, December 4 is the deadline for registration for the Fountain Hills Art League Juried Art Show. Open to all residents of Fountain Hills, the Verdes, and Goldfield Ranch.

Pre-registration is required for the annual January Show. Please consult FHCCA website for entry guidelines and the registration form. The Entry Form is found on line at www.fhcca.org, (keep the Contestant Form for your records). Return the Entry Form and your $25 fee by Friday, December 4, 2015. Checks are payable to FHCCA. December 4,5,6:  Christmas Market at Fountain Hills Artists Gallery
The Fountain Hills Artists’ Gallery Christmas Market will take place on December 4, 5 & 6 with extended hours of operation for Friday and Saturday evenings. Hot chocolate, hot cider and Christmas cookies will be served. A “Holiday Bargain Table” will showcase items marked down at least 40% and many artists will be offering 10% discounts on all gallery items for these three days only.

December 5:  Stroll in the Glow

Stroll in the GlowOn the first Saturday of December a town treasured event comes to life, called “Stroll in the Glow.”  After dark, a brief ceremony ends with the master switch being thrown, bathing the Avenue in a multicolored glow of holiday cheer!  For more information please call the Chamber of Commerce at (480) 837-1654

There are musicians that stroll the Avenue to provide a festive mood, a live nativity, petting zoo and then, just after dark, the lighting ceremony culminates with the Avenue of The Fountains glowing amid thousands of lights in holiday trees and festive scenes.

The Annual Stroll in The Glow brings the town together to celebrate the Holiday season with all things festive on the Avenue of The Fountains. Shops on the Avenue stay open late and many offer treats for their visitors. There are musicians that stroll the Avenue to get you in that festive mood, and just after dark the lighting ceremony culminates in the Avenue of The Fountain glowing in all the lights that have been carefully draped on the trees that run the length of the Avenue’s median.

The Memorial Pointsettia Tree is a popular holiday sight on the Avenue of the Fountains

FOUNTAIN HILLS POINTSETTIA TREE – This year’s Poinsettia Tree will be placed on the Avenue of the Fountains on Nov. 29.   The Tree is a fundraiser for the Fountain Hills Cultural and Civic Association and offers pointsettias at a cost of $20 to have a pointsettia placed in honor of a friend or loved one.
