One of Sonoran Lifestyle’s favorite events —Ballet Under the Stars—is just around the corner.  Friday, September 23, at 7:00 p.m. in Fountain Park, Ballet Arizona kicks off its 2016-17 season. This free celebration of dance is a family tradition in Fountain Hills.

But Sonoran Lifestyle Real Estate’s pre-ballet party is another fun tradition to be savored.  Plan to attend this year’s event and be sure to don a tutu….We’ll have a special prize for the best Tutu Adornment!  And, everyone will leave with a park “care package” of ice cold water and an insect repellent wipe!

Be sure to mark your calendar!  We wanted to give you time to gather up your friends, shake the wrinkles out of your tutu and plan to join us before the show.

What could be more fun than seeing Fountain Hills’ Former Mayor, Jay Schlum in a tutu, you ask?  Not much!

Come to the Tutu Preview on Friday, October 2nd, at Sonoran Lifestyle Real Estate and join us as we toast the Fall entertainment season.  Who knows…maybe, just maybe, you’ll get a glimpse of a Grand Battement or a perfectly executed Plie  (not likely, but it will be entertaining, regardless!)  Our Annual Tutu Preview offers an assortment of wine and hors d’oeuvres plus a great opportunity to catch up with friends after the long summer and make plans for the exciting season ahead.

This year, we are hosting live music by The Art of Music, one of Fountain Hills favorite entertainment groups featuring Leslie and Ukiah Odum.  Their eclectic repertoire ranges from renaissance and classical to jazz, and always makes a gathering just bit more special.

Then, at 7:00, plan to head down to Ballet Under the Stars, a free presentation in Fountain Park by Ballet Arizona.  We’ll have cool water packs to take along, but suggest you bring a blanket or chairs to really enjoy the evening.

During “Tutu Preview” you’ll also have the opportunity to see the awesome plans for Park Place, the new downtown development featuring both residential and retail development.  Park Place is now underway with the Morning Star Senior Living Campus slated to open in late 2016.  And, if our awesome, local theater is of interest to you, we’ll have the Fountain Hills Theater folks available to sell tickets to the upcoming season.

So, call a friend you haven’t seen in a while and bring them along for a delightful prelude to one of Fountain Hills’ most memorable cultural events.

Fountain Hills is famous for making the Arts accessible to a wide audience. Hosting the annual Ballet Under the Stars performance is the perfect cultural experience to link the generations in our community together in celebration of classic and contemporary dance.  Attendance is free to the public, thanks to sponsors who underwrite the cost of equipment, cast and crew.

On Friday, October 2, at 7 p.m., Ballet Arizona brings its outstanding troupe to Fountain Park to celebrate the enjoyment of the dance experience…the lights, costumes, classic choreography seem to float on a moon-lit stage against the backdrop of the shimmering lake. Little boys leap and pint-sized ballerinas whirl across the grass in their tutu’s as friends and family gather on their blankets and chairs in Fountain Park.

This up close and personal performance—children can be just a few feet from the dancers—introduces many to the Ballet for the first time. The audience and staging for this annual tradition has grown every year, so grab your chair or blanket and plan to come early and help launch the opening of Fountain Hills Fall 2015 entertainment season.  WATCH THE YOUTUBE VIDEO!

Sonoran Lifestyle Real Estate is, once again, the site of the Tutu Preview Wine Reception just prior to Ballet Under the Stars on Thursday, September 25th, 2014.

An annual event, the Tutu Preview will feature wine, hors d’oeuvres and good friends in a beautiful setting at the Sonoran Lifestyle Courtyard from 5-6:30 pm.  Guests will also receive a take-away packet of ice cold water bottles to enjoy in Fountain Park for the 7:00 performance of Arizona Ballet’s “Ballet Under the Stars.”

Free and open to the public, “Ballet Under the Stars” allows Arizona communities to enjoy dance in a unique outdoor setting complete with a stage, lighting, costumes and beautiful Arizona weather. Movies in the Park

Movie in the ParkPop the popcorn, bring your blanket or chair and join us as the popular “Madagascar” series ushers in the return of Movies in the Park.  This free activity is free to the public and seating in the Performance Pavilion at the corner of Palisades Blvd and Saguaro Blvd is on a “first-come-first served” basis. The terraces of the performance Pavilion will accommodate folding chairs, and there is ample blanket space on the hillside facing the screen.

BEFORE the  movie, the Fountain Hills Martial Arts group will provide a kickin’ performance of their various skills.  This is an award winning local group…don’t miss it!

Soft drinks, water and picnic fare are encouraged; alcoholic beverages are not.

Sonoran Lifestyle Wine Reception Kicks-off Fall Event Calendar in Fountain Hills

Looking for a place to show off your tutu?  Head to Sonoran Lifestyle Real Estate before  you go to Ballet Under the Stars on Thursday, Sept. 20.  Located at 16824 E. It’s that time again!  Time to get out your tutus, dust off your ballet slippers, find a comfy lawn chair and prepare for a glorious evening at Fountain Park as Ballet Arizona goes “on the road” to introduce their upcoming season.  This year’s event begins at 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 20th.

Grab your friends, a blanket, chairs and a beverage and be prepared to be dazzled by the beauty of the troupe that will perform with a complete setup of stage, lighting, costumes and talented artistry.  The performance ranges from classical to contemporary and is a wonderful way to introduce youngsters to the magic of dance. What a great week-end we have in store!  This Sunday, September 25, Ballet Arizona comes to Fountain Hills with a free performance.  Ballet Under the Stars begins at 7:00 pm at the Fountain Park Amphitheater…bring a blanket and expect to be amazed!
