This July, discover the power of play and adventure. It’s National Parks and Recreation Month, and for anyone who loves being outdoors this month is for you. The Town of Fountain Hills wants you to “Get Your Play On.” Whether it’s summer camp, an adult sports league, exploring a trail, meeting friends on the playground, playing cards in the park, or discovering nature — parks and play go hand in hand. Here are 3 ways that you can celebrate Park and Recreation Month in Fountain Hills:

1.Celebrate the Fourth of July at the Fountain

Put on your patriotic best, and take the family to Fountain Park on Tuesday July 4th to celebrate our nation’s 241st birthday. The celebration kicks off at 5:00 pm with music, games, and kid’s entertainment, and a wide variety of food. The night will be capped off with a majestic firework display over the park’s beautiful lake. There is no better place to celebrate America than in one the of most beautiful places in the United State- our own Fountain Hills.

2. Head Over to Four Peaks Park to Enjoy Wacky Wet Wednesdays

Come on over to Four Peaks Park, and enjoy some fun in the sun. Bring the family to have a good time splashing around in the sprinklers, and being sprayed by the Fountain Hills Fire Department. This is a great way to spend a Wednesday afternoon to cool down, and enjoy the beautiful outdoors in Four Peaks Park on July 12th and 26th.

3. Participate in Yoga at Fountain Park

On Saturday, July 22nd, enjoy a gentle flowing practice of Yoga surround by the majesty of nature, and a 560-foot fountain in the backdrop. Join TruFits Studios has they lead this evening twilight class.at the Amphitheatre in Fountain Park. The fee for the class is $12 dollars, and drop-in is only allowed if they have a minimum of 5 participants pre-registered. The drop-in fee is $15.
