Go wild this summer with Scorpions and McDowell Mountain Regional Park

David Long and family take moonlight tour of the hoodoos at Big Bend Ranch SP

Join the rangers of McDowell Mountain Regional Park search for scorpions.

Curious about why scorpions glow in the dark, but not so wild about going into the desert at night to look for them? Join the rangers at McDowell Mountain Regional Park to set off on a short, slow walk into the Sonoran Desert at night-just to look for scorpions. Bring a black light if you have one. Meet at the Nursey Tank Trailhead about 4 miles from the park entrance on Saturday, June 17th at 8:00 pm.

The Maricopa County Parks are getting Wet ‘n” Wild this Summer! That means program participants in the Scorpions in the Wild outing will be eligible to win a 4 pack of tickets to Wet ‘n’ Wild Phoenix.

1. Tickets will be issued one 4-pack per family.

2. Families can only win one 4-pack of Wet ‘n’ Wild ticket for the 2017 season.

3. Visitors must attend the program in full and must be present to win. At the end of the program, a winner will  be selected at random.

4. Only one 4-pack will be issued per program.
